Kathleen Dolan: Executive Director
Kathleen has worked with children for over 20 years as a care provider, art therapist intern and in association with visual arts and music. She has a MA in Art Therapy, MA in Fine Arts and a certification to teach art in K- 12th grades. Kathleen is also a registered Music Together teacher, a research based early childhood development program that provides the foundation for music education to infants through kinderSgarden aged children.

Kathleen started Purple Crayon Productions in 2003 with art and music programs for infants to children in early elementary grades. In 2007 she expanded Purple Crayon's art programs to the rest of the community including seniors and special needs populations.

Kathleen advocates strongly for arts in education and is a board member of the Vermont College Masters in Visual Arts, Children's Book Writing and Creative Writing programs. She is the mother of two young children.

Tayo Skarrow: Director
Tayo holds a BA in Journalism and Public Communications with a Minor in Art from the University of Alaska, Anchorage. In 2006, after five years of working in the photography industry in Alaska; she moved back to her roots here in Central Vermont to be closer to her family and friends. Since returning to the Green Mountain State, Tayo has worked for a garden based non-profit, in Burlington and as the Public Relations Manager at a local textile company.

Tayo joined Purple Crayon Productions in 2009 as Director and brings with her a passion for the arts, natural health and education. In addition to her secondary education in the Arts, she also holds a certification in Plant Medicines and is a Certified Health Counselor through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York City. Tayo plans to incorporate into Purple Crayon her knowledge and experience in these combined fields; she looks forward to building a healthy, creative environment for children, families and adults of all ages and abilities to enjoy the arts while supporting their communities.Tayo lives in Randolph Center, Vermont with her Husband and husky dog, Kaiyuh.

Geraldine Fowler: Assistant Director
Geraldine was born and raised in South Africa, at 24, she left a fast paced career in the insurance broking industry to travel and work in the United States.  Six years later, Geraldine has realized her passion for community, health and wellness, positive youth development, and her love of Vermont.  For the last two years, Geraldine has worked in Woodstock, Vermont, for a local community coalition that focuses on positive youth asset development, parent outreach, youth mentoring as well as alcohol, tobacco and other drug prevention initiatives. In addition to her work within the coalition, Geraldine joined Purple Crayon Productions in 2007, as an assistant art teacher to Kathleen, working with infants to children in early elementary grades.  In 2009, Geraldine became Assistant Director of Purple Crayon Productions and is a certified children's yoga instructor, opening doors to a new concept of fitness and fun for the young. Geraldine lives in Bradford, Vermont, is married and the mother of two young children.

Angel Rubino:
Angel is the mother of 3 year old Quinn, who is an expert at Moovin' & Groovin'. Angel is a certified pediatric occupational therapist who has been working with children and families for 14 years using play and daily routines to support children's development while building skills for life.  Angel is certified in the practice of Sensory Integration in addition to having expertise in other developmental and behavioral approaches. She also has fun helping children with special needs discover recreational activities such as swimming, rock climbing and skiing. Angel is a Blue Cross/Blue Sheild and Children with Special Health Needs (CSHN) provider.

Moovin' & Groovin' is for all children developmentally 16 months to 3 years and those who care for them. The class will foster self confidence, coordination, language development and social interaction. Activities include obstacle courses, games, music, creative play, balancing, jumping, tumbling, climbing, dancing, marching and drumming. Christine Jacobson:
Christine Jacobson is a local artist and educator who has studies ceramics under professional potters and tilemakers in California. She has worked in the ceramic production industry; has taught since 1997, first academics, then various art classes at the Bernis School of Art, CO.. She employs an experimental attitude in her creative endeavors, having had great success teaching students to 'learn by doing' . Chris explores many mediums: ceramics, textiles, paper; often combining mediums to fashion 2 and 3 dimensional forms.
