April Vacation 2010
Introduction to Drawing & Illustration
with professional artist Scott Fisk
DATES: Monday through Friday, April 19th-23rd
TIME: 10am-12pm
AGES: 6-13 years
COST: $65 per student for 10 contact hours
...we aren't talking about drawing wicker chairs, bowls of fruit or teddy bears here!!
Mixed Media Melody!
with artist Christine Jacobson
DATES: Monday through Friday, April 19th-23rd
TIME: 1pm-3pm
AGES: 7-12 years
COST: $65 per student for 10 contact hours
Students will explore a variety of materials and basic techniques involving clay, paper-crafts, printmaking and painting. A great sampler class of simple projects using varied media.
Rock Tools, Aspects of Rock Camp – Camp #1
with Chris Schoelen, classical/rock guitarist, B.A., Music, Humboldt State University
Dates: Monday through Friday, April 19-23
Hours: 9 AM to 1 PM
Rates: $200 per student
Aimed at younger students and will focus on playing covers of the students choosing. Meet new band-mates and learn the ins and outs of songwriting by example, working together and many of the challenges and excitements of being in a rock band!

Rock Tools, Aspects of Rock Camp – Camp #2
with Chris Schoelen, classical/rock guitarist, B.A., Music, Humboldt State University
Dates: Monday through Friday, April 19-23
Hours: 2 to 6 PM
Rates: $200 per student
For older and more experienced students, this camp will focus on songwriting and jamming in an ensemble. Learn tips on writing original songs, recording, working with band-mates towards a common goal.

Seeds to Grow On Garden Camp
AGES: 2-5 years (ages 4+ may be dropped off)
WHEN: May 24th - 28th
TIME: 10am-12pm
COST: $65 for the full week or $15 per drop in
Celebrate Spring with us! We will be both indoors and out during this week of garden exploration and education. Each day of camp will include aspects of music, movement, gardening and art...of course!

Fun in the Forest with a National Park Ranger!
AGES: 3-8 years (ages 4+ may be dropped off)
WHEN: July 26th - 30th
TIME: 10am-12pm
COST: $65 for the full week or $15 per drop in
Explore the forests surrounding Mount Tom joined by a Park Ranger from Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Park! Camp participants will earn their Junior Ranger Badges at the end of the week. Each day of camp will include aspects of music, movement and art.

VINS Peeps Camps at Purple Crayon
AGES: 4-6 years
COST: $150 per week/per session
Two weeks to choose from:
"Anybody Home?"
WHEN: July 5th - 9th
TIME: 9am-12pm or 1pm-4pm
Through crafts, games, stories, and outdoor explorations, campers learn about the creatures that live under the bark of a dead tree, below the ripples of a pond and in the highest branches of the trees.
"Circles of Life"
WHEN: August 16th - 20th
TIME: 9am-12pm or 1pm-4pm
Explore the amazing cycles that occur in our natural word. From caterpillars to butterflies, tadpoles to frogs and seeds to trees, come see how we are all connected!

Visit us at Purple Crayon during this year’s Trek To Taste! Celebrate healthy eating and active living as we appreciate local food and trails at this annual event.
