Music Together (ages infant – 5 years)

Tuesday & Thursday 10-10:45am
Fridays 9:30-10:15am

For ages infant to 5 years. Classes run for 10 weeks and are 45 minutes long.

$150 per child and $75 per sibling. Class includes 2 CD's, storybook and parent guide.

Intro to Guitar – Session #1
with Chris Schoelen, classical/rock guitarist, B.A., Music, Humboldt State University
Dates: Thursdays, April 1 to May 6th, excluding April 22st.
Hours: 4:45 to 5:45 PM
Rates: $50 for five weeks
Every guitarist has his or her own sounds. That’s why in the beginning guitar class we will begin by trying to get that sound out by teaching basic guitar chords.  Once we get an understanding and feel of the instrument we will learn simple melodies that are easy for beginning guitarist to play. From there we will learn various songs to play on the guitar that range from blues roots music to modern pop tunes. For more information and full details visit www.uvrockschool.org.

Rock Tools, Aspects of Rock Camp – Camp #1
with Chris Schoelen, classical/rock guitarist, B.A., Music, Humboldt State University
Dates: Monday through Friday, April 19-23
Hours: 9 AM to 1 PM
Rates: $200 for five weeks
Aimed at younger students and will focus on playing covers of the students choosing. Meet new band-mates and learn the ins and outs of songwriting by example, working together and many of the challenges and excitements of being in a rock band!

Rock Tools, Aspects of Rock Camp – Camp #2

Dates: Monday through Friday, April 19-23
Hours: 2 to 6 PM
Rates: $200 for five weeks
For older and more experienced students, this camp will focus on songwriting and jamming in an ensemble.  Learn tips on writing original songs, recording, working with band-mates towards a common goal.
